The Endoprosthetics Center offers the highest standard of care
The center's new status has been confirmed by the independent certification body EndoCert, which assesses the qualifications of medical staff, quality of care, range of surgical procedures performed, and organization of clinical services. Particular attention is paid to complex revision surgeries — procedures involving the replacement of previously implanted joint prostheses.
The center specializes in hip and knee replacement surgery, including the replacement of worn-out or infected implants. The medical team aims to use minimally invasive surgical techniques whenever possible to reduce physical stress on patients and promote faster recovery.
Accurate preoperative diagnostics play a crucial role in treatment planning. Specialists use X-rays, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to prepare for surgical procedures. Close collaboration between orthopedic specialists, surgeons, and radiologists enables the development of individualized treatment plans, even for complex clinical cases.
The medical team is led by Chief Physician Dr. Alexandros Anastasiadis and Head of Endoprosthetics Dr. Georgios Spyrou. Dr. Spyrou joined the center's leadership team in April 2026 and brings many years of experience in orthopedic surgery, including complex procedures involving major joints.
The center's upgraded status confirms its compliance with the highest standards of specialized orthopedic care and expands treatment options for patients with complex joint conditions.
