Helios Berlin-Buch: Dr. med. von Sonnleithner, FEBO new Chief Physician of the Clinic for Ophthalmol
Dr. med. Christoph von Sonnleithner, FEBO, took up the post of Chief Physician at the Buch Clinic for Ophthalmology on 01.01.2025. An experienced expert who most recently practiced as a senior physician at the Charité Eye Clinic, Campus Virchow-Klinikum.
Dr. med. Christoph von Sonnleithner expects a modern clinic in Berlin-Buch, which has an inpatient and outpatient area and covers the complete range of ophthalmology services, both diagnostically and surgically.
"I am delighted to be working at such a renowned location, which also has a long tradition in the field of ophthalmology. In future, I would like to place particular emphasis on complex cataract surgery as well as plastic, reconstructive eyelid and lacrimal duct surgery. Of course, the focus will continue to be on the entire spectrum of ophthalmology. I am also looking forward to working with the MSB Medical School Berlin. The opportunity to contribute to the training of our junior doctors and to research is an enormous gain for me,"
says Dr. von Sonnleithner.
After studying human medicine at Saarland University, the Universidad de La Laguna in Spain and the Albert-Ludwigs-University in Freiburg, where he also obtained his doctorate, Dr. von Sonnleithner completed his specialist training at the Charité Eye Clinic, Virchow-Klinikum campus. He also worked there most recently as a senior physician.
