Helios Hospital Bad Saarow: Grigorij Nesterov takes over as medical director of Breast Center
There is a change in medical leadership at the Breast Center of Helios Hospital Bad Saarow. As of June 1, Dr. med. Grigorij Nesterov will assume the position of chief physician at the Breast Center and continue the existing commitment to excellent breast health. He succeeds experienced mammography expert Dr. med. Harry Brunzlow who is taking well-deserved retirement at the end of May after 21 years as chief physician.
The replacement for the position of chief physician comes from within the ranks of the Helios Hospital Bad Saarow, because Dr. med. Grigorij Nesterov has been working at the Institute of Radiology for eleven years - first as a senior physician and later as chief resident. During this time, the 49-year-old radiology specialist has been closely at Dr. med. Brunzlow's side and has been able to gain further valuable experience.
"I am honored to replace Dr. med. Harry Brunzlow and take over the position of Chief Physician of our Breast Center. My goal is to continue to provide our patients with the best possible care by offering innovative imaging and treatment methods and working closely with interdisciplinary teams as well as with the other clinics and physicians in private practice. We will continue to do everything we can to further develop our certified breast center in a future-oriented manner."
says the new chief physician of the Breast Center, Dr. med. Grigorij Nesterov.
Dr. med. Grigory Nesterov was born in 1973 in Moldova, which at that time was still part of the former USSR. Like his father and grandparents, he decided to pursue a career in medicine and completed his medical studies at the Moscow Medical University from 1991 to 1997. In 1997 he moved to Berlin, where he completed his second medical degree at the Humboldt University in 2001. After working for eleven years in various clinics in Berlin and already acquiring extensive knowledge in a breast center where, among other things, he also deputized for the head physician, he came to Bad Saarow. Since then he has resided here with his family.
"We are pleased that Dr. med. Nesterov will bring his extensive expertise and passion for breast health to further strengthen high-quality, comprehensive care for all patients with breast disease. I would also like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Brunzlow. Under his leadership, our Breast Center has achieved significant progress and success and has developed into a first-class facility. I am particularly pleased that Dr. Brunzlow has not yet left us completely and wishes to continue supporting us."
emphasizes Dr. med. Jens Osel, Medical Director of the hospital.
